The issue of religions has always been and will always be a very sensitive subject towards the unenlightened human beings. In some religious and over-conservative societies, its considered a kind of "taboo" if someone speaks about religion and questions religion! People there are like robots, programmed and just follow a certain book without even spending a sheer minute thinking and believing!
Today, across the street from where I work, a quarrel happened inside a store in which the locals where mad and raging over a flip flop that had a picture of 2-3 crosses on it. The locals contacted the police and the shop was closed until further notice! I heard a woman saying that she was against all the sarcasm of religion and she supports religious freedom and all that nonsense you hear on TV....
Now, a question is asked, why do people just notice stuff that are so direct like this incidence today? Isn't wearing a cross on a half naked body with skin tight jeans and skin tight short tops a sin towards the cross and Christ? Shouldn't the cross be worn with decent clothes and a spiritual conscious? Isn't wearing a cross or doing a tattoo of a cross on an arm and then being in a porn video a sin towards all of Christianity? Isn't supporting and even allowing the production of music videos that contain making fun of religious symbols an insult towards all faiths? Example Lady Gaga in her Alejandro Video! Aren't women and men who keep their mouths shut when someone insults God, a sin, when on the other hand they scream and shout and sometimes beat the person who insults a political leader or a normal famous person?
No one respects religions anymore! True Islam disappeared when Imam Ali, the last Imam died! True Christianity was gone and killed and infected when Jesus was taken to the Heavens. People are just living a big fat lie! Religions now a days are like a glass, you see the truth through it, but you don't live it nor feel it!
The reaction of the public was good and respectful, at least no harm was done to the owner of the shop who was already mistaken by selling those flip flops in the first place. But for those who say "we don't accept the insult of our religious symbols"... well just turn on your television for a minute, open your eyes, and get real!
UPDATE: The public's reaction wasn't so peaceful after all. At night, a group of people came down to the area of the shop, holding big crosses and they wanted to burn the store down. Someone called the cops, and officers came down and stopped the chaos.
