Why Give?

"Hand fits giving so do it, that's what the Gospel said to me".

Giving is such a simple, pure, deep action from the heart, yet it is sometimes corrupted by the ego!

To give is only to give, nothing more, nothing less! When someone is in need of help, give assistance if its possible, but don't give it just to receive after that, or in order to show others what you did and to feel proud. That's very shallow and when those intentions are felt, then then true essence, the pure soul behind Giving is lost in the shadows, and the ego has taken its place!

Such a shame to waste all the good deeds we do by those intentions. "The heart gives in silence, the ego makes a show". If you give, give from your heart, give because you want to give, because you want to help.

In the famous book "The Prophet", the enlightened Jubran Khalil wrote about Giving, here I will share some quotes regarding this specific matter:

"You give but little when you give of your possessions.

It is when you give of yourself that you truly give."

"You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving."

The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish."
